Title:Mold Technician

Job Summary:

Provide Production with essential equipment to keep it running smoothly

Essential Job Functions / Primary Responsibilities:

  • Level 1
  • Perform daily tool set-ups and tear downs including essential paperwork
  • Log all tool maintenance in ERP systems
  • Communicates with Manufacturing Engineer on all tool damage and wear
  • Mold cleaning and inspection
  • Inspection of general mold or fixture function upon return from Production (bolts tight, dowels in place, springs functioning properly, etc.)
  • Level 2
  • Replacement pin inventory upkeep
  • Log all new molds into the ERP system
  • Cold-Deck maintenance
  • Level 3
  • Work with New Tooling Group for training on all new complex molds
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers entering set-up lists for new molds into ERP system
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to write up in depth preventative maintenance instructions on the more complex molds as determined by the Manufacturing Engineers and/or Supervisor.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Keep tooling and fixture inventory up-to-date
  • Move tools not used for two years to archive area and adjust location in ERP system
  • Complete other projects and/or tasks as assigned to support business needs.

  • Silicone or Plastic molding or related experience


  • Desired
  • Level 1: 2 years Silicone or Plastic Molding or Tooling experience
  • Level 2: 5 years Silicone or Plastic Molding or Tooling experience
  • Level 3: 10 years Molding, Set-up or Tooling experience
